Minneapolis Public Library

Between Nicollet Mall and Third Street North
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Architect: Cesar Pelli
Projected Completion: 2006

Across the street (or two) from Gunnar Birketts suspension bridge tower, Cesar Pelli's brand new public library looks to be the most interesting buildings on Nicollet Mall. The building has unique, etched glass windows with a tree design on them, a large open atrium, a planetarium and a green, planted roof.
