Seven World Trade Center

Pictures from June 2005

Vesey and Greenwich Streets
New York City, United States
Architect: SOM (David Childs)
Projected Completion: 2005

The upper floors of WTC 7 are looking finished even though developer Larry Silverstein has yet to secure any actual tenants. Work continues on that spectacular, clear glass curtain wall now that all of the steel is up. Still to come is all of that expected interior work and a lower floor glass installation by artist James Carpenter, something that promises to somehow make that truck bomb reinforced lobby and electrical substation on those lower floors look like they actually belong in such an otherwise transparent building.
